The HM Bark Endeavour is to be sold at auction in Lincoln next week – with an estimate of £50,000 – £120,000.

This is the only full size replica in the Northern Hemisphere of Captain Cook’s ‘legendary vessel’, the HM Bark Endeavour, and only one of two in the world.

Originally built at a cost of £2.5 million, the vessel is complete with masts and rigging, and built to the same dimensions as Cook’s famous ship.

It will be sold at auction on Monday, August 28 at 9am at Unique Auction House, Teal Park, Lincoln.

Estimated between £50,000 and £120,000, the HM Endeavour currently houses a museum, catering facilities and also provides:

  • Unique facility for events
  • Private functions
  • Weddings
  • Corporate and educational events
  • Re-enactments
  • Commercial filming
  • Themed events
  • Potential use as accommodation

Terry Woodcock, Proprietor, Chief Auctioneer and Valuer of Unique Auctions said: “This is a superb opportunity for someone to acquire a unique vessel with history, but it could also offer a lucrative business proposition to an investor or an exciting endeavour for someone with a pioneering spirit.”
