The body of a man, believed to be from the local area, has been found in the gardens of the Usher Gallery in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police said they first received reports at around 8.20am on Sunday, September 24.

The man was found lying on a bench, he was confirmed dead at the time.

A police spokesperson said: “No formal identification has been made, but we believe him to be a local man.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner has been informed.

“If anyone believes they have information that surrounds the sad death of this man, please contact 101 quoting incident 108 of September 24”
