Not suspicious: Body of man found lying on Lincoln bench sent to coroner

He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Lincolnshire Police are not treating the death of a man in Lincoln as suspicious.

The body of a man, believed to be from the local area, was found on a bench in the gardens of the Usher Gallery in Lincoln over the weekend.

The death was first reported to police at around 8.20am on Sunday, September 24.

It was reported that the man was found lying on a bench. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “No formal identification has been made, but we believe him to be a local man.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed.

“If anyone believes they have information that surrounds the sad death of this man, please contact 101 quoting incident 108 of September 24.”
