Could you help them reach their target?

Lincoln fundraising group The Cancer Fighters are appealing to the people of Lincolnshire to help them reach their fundraising goal of £100,000 by February 2018.

So far, the fundraisers have raised £95,000. But now they are giving a huge push to raise the last £5,000.

A big £100,000 party will be held on February 2, 2018 at Washingborough Community Centre, which will see live entertainment, a disco, an auction and a raffle to win a family holiday.

Tickets for the event cost £10 and can be purchased now by calling 07812 749408.

The award winning group have raised funds for the past three years for Cancer Research UK, ever since Amelia Bailey, a cancer survivor herself, called upon her friends to volunteer with her to help others fighting the disease.

The group are all ladies from Lincolnshire, with the youngest member Matilda being just eight-years-old.

During the last three years, the group has held charity balls, promoted health education programmes in schools to thousands of children in Lincolnshire, held a family fun day, had a wine tasting evening and have lots more planned including a Gin Festival in March 2018.

On Saturday, November 11, from 7pm to 11.30pm, the group will also hosting a night of psychics, prosecco and pampering, with a fully licenced bar, tarot and mediumship, stalls, gifts, massage and facials at Washingborough Community Centre.

Admission is just £1 and everyone is welcome.

In 2018, The Cancer Fighters are also hoping to open their own second hand charity and tea shop.
