Peek inside: Cosy Viking tipi bar open for business in Lincoln

See what’s inside.

Festive revellers in Lincoln can enjoy beers, Christmas tipples and cockle warmers at a new Nordic bolt-hole in the heart of the city.

Thor’s Tipi Bar has popped up on Cornhill off Lincoln High Street and will be serving refreshments, open fires and cosy furs to warriors of the city until December 31.

The Lincolnite took a peek at the winter wonderland bar before its open evening on Tuesday, November 14.

The bar, which plays on Lincolnshire’s Viking heritage, is a new experience for shoppers in the area and revellers alike.

Two linked canvas tipis form the bar. Inside, visitors will find wooden tables and benches, roaring fires, cosy furs and twinkling lights.

On the menu is local draft ales, mulled wine, hot cider and spirits, including Lincolnshire gin.

A hot chocolate station will allow kids, big and small, to choose a topping for their homemade chocolate treat.

The bar is open daily:

  • Monday – Thursday: 10:30am – 10pm
  • Friday – Saturday: 10:30am – 11pm
  • Sunday: 10:30am – 10pm

Closed Christmas Day.
