Police look for dog walker who stopped Lincoln robbery

Despite being shaken, the woman was uninjured in the incident.

Police are long to speak to a member of the public who stopped a robbery happening yesterday by shouting and disturbing the offender.

The incident took place on King George’s field in Lincoln at 5.45pm, when a woman was approached and grabbed by a ‘skinny’ man described as 6ft, and wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket.

Despite being shaken, the woman was uninjured in the incident.

The offender was then disturbed as a male walking a German Shephard dog shouted at him, resulting in him fleeing on a mountain bike with a black and red frame with white writing across it, heading in the direction of Macaulay Drive.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We wish to speak to the man who shouted and disturbed the offender, as he can significantly help us with our enquiries.

“If you are the member of the public who was walking his dog across the field, can you ring 101 and say that this is for the attention of DC Samantha Moss under incident number 463 of November 9.”
