Remembrance Day events taking place in Lincoln

Lest we forget.

Thousands of people across Lincoln will gather to remember those who lost their lives at war this Remembrance Day.

Remembrance Sunday is on November 12, however a number of services will be taking place on different days.

Here are some of the services that will be taking place:

Armistice Day Service

  • When: 10:45 am, Saturday, November 11
  • Where: War Memorial, Lincoln High Street, LN5 7AU

A service will be held at the war memorial on Lincoln High Street. An additional service will take place at 1pm on the same day ay the Commonwealth Forces Memorial in Newport Cemetery,

Remembrance Service

Remembrance Concert

  • When: 7:30pm on Friday, November 10
  • Where: Sir Robert Pattinson Academy, Moor Lane, North Hykeham, LN6 9AF

Performances from The Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Concert Band and The Royal British Legion, tickets £5 on the door.

International Bomber Command Centre Open Day

  • When: 10:30am-2:30pm, Sunday, November 12
  • Where: International Bomber Command Centre, Canwick Hill, Lincoln LN4 2RF

Explore the UK’s tallest war memorial and take a guided tour around the centre. Free entry

Remembrance Service

  • When: 10:15am, Sunday, November 12
  • Where: Scampton Church, Church Dr, Scampton, Lincoln LN6 7AX

Remembrance Parade

  • Where: Boultham Park/ Dixon Street

A parade on Boultham Park Road and finishes at RCCG Victory Centre.
