A Met Office yellow weather warning has been issued for further snow and ice across Lincolnshire.

The warning is in force between 9.25am and 4pm on Monday, December 11.

Forecasters said snow could fall on areas of high ground and a mixture of rain and sleet is likely in most other areas.

“Some injuries are possible from slips and falls on icy surfaces and there will probably be some icy patches on untreated roads and cycle paths.”

Ice is also expected to form on surfaces in the county throughout the night, particularly in the east of the county.

An amber warning was issued for the area on Sunday, leading to the cancellation of the final day of the Lincoln Christmas Market.

Snow fall however was not as heavy as predicted –
