New programme of thought-provoking Lincoln TEDx talks for 2018

Game-changing ideas.

People in Lincoln interested in ‘ideas worth spreading’ are invited to a series of new and returning TEDx events throughout 2018.

First launched last year, the TEDxBrayfordPool and TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool team will bring back a programme of events in the city, including two day-long conferences in June and November respectively.

Also joining the Lincoln scheme this year is a series of TEDx Salons, which serve as more intimate debates about interests in the local community.

TEDx Salon events will take place monthly in different locations around the city and will feature screenings of existing TED Talks.

The first topic is Viral Crowds, hosted by Siren Radio presenter Christopher Clarkson. It will take place on Saturday, January 27 at Lincoln Drill Hall.

Tickets include pizza and drinks and can be purchased from the website here.

TED is a project aimed at sharing life-changing ideas and bringing together inspired thinkers. The ‘x’ indicates an independently organised programme.

TEDxBrayfordPool curator Andy Farenden said: “We’re incredibly proud that TED have renewed our licences for 2018 as well as being able to bring TEDxBrayfordPoolSalon’s to Lincoln too!

“We’re so pleased to have such amazing support from the community that’s allowed us to expand our offering so quickly.”

The project is currently looking for people and businesses who are interesting in contributing to the events. Anyone looking to find out more can visit the website here.
