Three released under investigation after serious Lincoln High Street assault

Police probe continues

Three local men who were arrested for the alleged assault of a 60-year-old man on Lincoln High Street have been released under investigation.

As reported at the time, an area surrounding the Lincoln Unitarian Chapel and adjoining businesses was cordoned off by police after the attack in the early hours of Thursday, February 1.

The victim was rushed to Lincoln County Hospital with serous head injuries.

Police arrested three men on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.

They were all released under investigation by the morning of Friday, February 2.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson previously said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have any information that might help the enquiry.

“Please call 101 quoting incident 22 of 01/02/2018.”
