A body discovered on scaffolding at Lincoln train station is believed to be that of a missing 22-year-old man from Doncaster.

As reported earlier, British Transport Police were called to Lincoln Central station at 8.28am on Monday, May 16 to reports of a body near to platform three.

Officers now believe the man pronounced dead at the scene to be Ben Jones, who was reported missing on Sunday, May 15.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but South Yorkshire Police have informed Ben’s family.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
