Landlords, developers, architects and other professionals involved in social housing are invited to a free seminar about anticipated changes to building regulations announced and their implications.
The morning event, taking place on Thursday September 26 at Lindum Business Park in North Hykeham, is being organised by the Housing Specialist Team at Lindum and will focus on ‘energy efficient’ homes.
Representatives from housing associations in the region will be among those attending the seminar which starts at 8:30 am, with delegates arriving for registration and breakfast at 8:00 am.
Presentations from key specialists, along with an opportunity to discuss the latest developments and concerns affecting the sector, will be part of the programme which includes:
· Building Regulations Part L – Conservation of Fuel and Power. The changes and their impact on construction, from conception through to site supervision,and the ‘fabric first’ approach by Quadrant.
· Introducing ‘Passivhaus’, focussing on construction details and cost implications, using examples from current and past projects by Encraft Ltd
· “Future of Housing?” discussion led by Lindum Construction’s in-house specialists.
