The Festival of Japanese Culture is a celebration showcasing japanese film, music, art and food.
Lincoln-based Blueprint Film Foundation are producing the event to educate and celebrate Japanese Culture and share it with the Lincolnshire community
With a small amount of funding from the Japan Society, they were able to secure the newly opened Venue cinema at Bishop Grosseteste University College.
The main event is on January 27 at The Venue and will host the screening of two films alongside artists, musicians, traditional martial arts, food and drink.
The finale to the event will be the screening of Pigs and Battleships accompanied by a talk from acclaimed Japanese cinema expert Jasper Sharp.
In the week leading up to the festival there will be an exhibition of Japanese inspired art from local Japanese artist Kauru Shimada. The exhibition will be held at Cafe Portico, on the ground floor of The Terrace, Lincoln.
