The Lincolnshire Artists’ Society first exhibited at The Usher Gallery in 1927 and has exhibited there many times over the years, including for their 110th Annual Exhibition in 2016. The Usher is welcoming them back for an extra Show this autumn. The Society will be exhibiting there from 16th September to 15th October. This will be followed in November (7th – 19th) ‘Transitions’ at the Sam Scorer Gallery, an exhibition aimed at showing how an artist’s work evolves over time.

Alan Parker, Chairman of the Society, said: “ We are honoured and delighted to be invited back to the Usher this year. The exhibition promises to be spectacular with new works from members, who relish the opportunity to display their work in such a wonderful environment.

We are doubly fortunate in also being able to put on a slightly different exhibition at Sam Scorer this year offering artists the chance to show the public how their work has changed over time.”

Admission to both exhibitions is free.

Last year the Society celebrated the publication of a second book by Lincolnshire author, Edward Mayor, on Lincolnshire Artists, which celebrates the work of the last ten years. The book will be on sale at both exhibitions.
