    Description

    We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional to join our management team and help us to continue to develop and improve our quality and safety management systems.    This is an interesting and varied role encompassing both the laboratory’s operations and the accredited systems in operation for the wider highways service.

    The services provided by the laboratory include construction materials testing, pavement and geotechnical investigations, highway condition surveys and traffic data capture and analysis.  Our testing services are accredited by UKAS to ISO17025 and our consultancy team is accredited to ISO9001.  The laboratory is also accredited to ISO18001 for our Health and Safety System.

    The wider highways service is accredited to ISO9001 for design services and ISO44001 for collaborative working with our Lincolnshire Highways Alliance partners.

    We have a buoyant workload with a number of major schemes planned including the forthcoming Lincoln Eastern Bypass and we are committed to providing an efficient, high quality and professional service to our clients.

    We are looking for a person with a background in quality management, safety systems management or alternatively significant experience of working within a UKAS accredited laboratory environment to ISO17025.

    It is recognised that candidates may not have experience of the full range of management systems operated by the laboratory; however, we would welcome applications from individuals with strong organisational skills and systems management experience.  Appointment to this post will be offered on a salary commensurate with the level of knowledge and experience of the successful candidate.

    Further training and support for the post holder will be provided by our Quality Management Teams and Corporate Health and Safety Advisers.  You will also need to be enthusiastic, capable of working under your own initiative and be able to demonstrate good communication and leadership skills.
