    The Private Housing Team aim is to help people live healthier, better lives through safe and comfortable housing and healthy communities.

    The team designs and delivers home adaptations, provides housing assistance, and protects victims of domestic abuse.

    It licences houses in multiple occupation, seeks out unlicensed HMOs, deals with overcrowding, regulates rented accommodation, deals with statutory nuisance, and finds solutions for long term empty properties.

    It is promoting a new Trusted Landlord Scheme and building on the success of its Rogue Landlord Project.

    We are seeking a technical officer with knowledge of building construction and housing law, who can carry out surveys and design solutions. Your role will include carrying out early investigations and assisting Housing Standards and Enforcement Officers.
