Norwegian artist Agnes Nedregard will be doing a pilgrimage around Lincolnshire, ending at the Lincoln Cathedral this weekend.
Her two-day pilgrimage will mark the beginning of Lincoln Art Programme’s new series of events. From the pilgrimage, Nedregard will create a new piece of art that records Lincoln’s historic nature.
Lincolnites are invited to see Agnes complete the last part of her journey on Saturday, July 3, from the Lincoln Stonebow to the Cathedral. The event will start at 1.30pm, and will last around one hour and a half.
Nedregardfirst visited Lincoln in March this year, where she was given a guided tour of the Cathedral. Captivated by its history, the artist decided to re-discover the past, and would like audiences to take the climb up Steep Hill alongside her.
Agnes Negregard is a performance artist based in Norway and Scotland. She graduated from the Glasgow School of Art Masters of Fine Art programme in 2005, and has toured various places in Europe, USA and Asia since.
She also teaches performance art workshops for art, theatre, film and architecture students in Europe. Nedregard is currently the editor of nordictantrum.org, a Web magazine for Nordic performance art.

Bourne, Barton & District, Scunthorpe, and Boston Slodgers Veterans team all emerged victorious on a weekend which saw a high number of games involving Lincolnshire clubs postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.
In Counties 1 Midlands East (South), Sam Thornburn and Jon Levett both scored tries for Bourne in a dramatic 21-20 win at Vipers in Leicestershire.
