Two stars of the big screen will visit Lincoln to switch on the Christmas lights.
Batman series actor Colin McFarlane and Harry Potter star Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) will turn on the lights on November 18 at 7.10pm.
McFarlane has lived in the area previously and Rankin is currently studying at the University of Lincoln.
The pair will also be surrounded by actors from Lincoln Drill Hall’s panto Dick Whittington, which Rankin judged and has a part in.
After the switch on, the stars will be signing autographs in the Waterside Centre.
Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Geoff Kirby will also join the actors on stage at the War Memorial for the switch on.
He said: “I am very much looking forward to the Christmas lights switch on, which really signifies the start of the festive season for the city.
“I think Lincoln is a particularly wonderful place to be during the Christmas period, with the spectacular lights adding to the special atmosphere, and I hope the switch on event is enjoyed by everyone who comes along.”
