Police appeal for stolen car in Monks Road

Car theft: Police are looking for help in finding a stolen blue car from Monks Road.

Police are appealing for people to come forward with information after a car was stolen in a burglary.

The incident took place on Monks Road overnight on November 25 to 26.

The offender smashed a house window and stole a set of car keys. They then stole a blue Vauxhall Cavalier.

Police are urging car owners to think about where they put their keys, as the crime is commonplace.

Lincolnshire Police spokesman James Newall said: “People often leave keys on a worktop or hook close to a window.

“Thieves are on the lookout for this and will smash a window to get to them. It’s a good idea to take them up to bed with you at night.”

Anyone with information about the Monks Road crime is asked call Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300.
