There’s nothing like The Streets in Lincoln

Touring Streets: Mike Skinner’s The Streets will be coming to the Engine Shed next year.

Rapper Mike Skinner, stage name The Streets, will be performing at Lincoln’s Engine Shed as part of his final tour under the alias.

Skinner is best known for hit singles such as Fit But You Know It and Dry Your Eyes, both of which came from the top-selling album A Grand Don’t Come for Free.

The Streets has recorded five studio albums, with the upcoming one being released in February 2011, called Computers and Blues.

The fifth album will also be The Streets’ last, as Skinner is “sick” of the connotations that come with the name.

He is currently presenting a blog-style and music show on Channel 4 called Beat Stevie alongside his business partner Ted Mayhem.

The Streets will be performing on February 20 2011. Tickets cost £17.50, doors open at 7pm. The event is strictly over 16s only.
