Healthy harvest held at The Collection

Ethical harvest: The Collection museum celebrates the world’s food with family fun day.

The Collection museum in Lincoln will hold a free special harvest event at the end of the month.

Harvest for the World is a family event with activities and demonstrations celebrating ethically-sourced foods, healthy eating and the natural world.

Event-goers will also be able to watch the animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole (pictured).

Senior Community Engagement Officer Sally Bleasdale said: “Harvest for the World will be perfect half-term fun for all the family.

“There will be the chance to learn about and taste foods from the past and from around the world, create natural jewellery and make your own recycled bag to take home your goodies.

“You can even create your own fruit for our forest. It will be a great way to keep the kids entertained without breaking the bank.”

Harvest for the World starts at 10am on February 23. Although most activities are free, the film and takeaway activities will cost £1 each.
