Young man assaulted on Silver Street

Assault: Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Lincoln city centre on Good Friday.

Police have questioned a 22-year-old local man on suspicion of assault of a young man on Friday, April 22.

The incident took place at around 4.20am on Silver Street, Lincoln, when a 24 year-old local man was assaulted by another man.

He was treated for facial injuries at Lincoln County Hospital and later discharged.

Police arrested 22-year-old local man on suspicion of assault a short time later. He was questioned and released on police bail until June 4.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack to get in touch with them as soon as possible.
