A 19-year old man was charged with robbery after he was chased by police across Lincoln on Friday night.
At around 10pm on May 6 a 23-year-old local man was walking down St Rumbold Street, when he was approached by a group of men.
One of the men held what appeared to be a gun to his face and demanded cash. The offender then left he scene with around £40.
The weapon later turned out to be a replica gun.
Officers attended the scene and after an extensive search of the city, including the deployment of firearms officer, they arrested a 19-year-old local man.
Billy Lee Ansell (19), of no fixed abode, was later charged with robbery and possession of a replica gun in a public place.
He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
It is thought three or four other men were present during the robbery but there are no descriptions.
