Co-op to celebrate birthday with Glee

Gleeful: Even more fun has been added to the Co-op Birthday bash lineup.

A Glee-inspired singing and dancing show, G*Mania, has been added to the line-up for Lincolnshire Co-op’s 150th Birthday Bash.

The celebrations, which take place at the Lincolnshire Showground on September 3, will also see performances from Scouting for Girls and Lulu.

Sam Turner, Lincolnshire Co-operative’s Membership and Communities Manager, says that G*Mania is “packed with energy, fun and seriously talented performers”.

The cast is made up of nine people who took part in reality television programmes, including the X Factor, Grease is the Word and Britain’s Got Talent.

Turner added: “They are all finalists who were taken to the hearts of the British public, who voted for them in their millions, so we’re sure that everyone will love to see and hear them perform in such an exciting show.”

Turner says: “We want our Big Birthday Bash to bring people together for a celebration with music and good old fashioned entertainment for all the family.”

The Co-op have also celebrated their birthday by giving away half a million pounds worth of grants to 150 projects as well as teaming up with Bateman’s Brewery to create the Big Birthday Beer.

Ticket prices start at £33.50 for adults and are available from all 72 Lincolnshire Co-operative stores in the county as well as online.
