Man arrested after Lincoln garage burglaries

Garage break ins: Police are warning residents about an increase in garage burglaries in the city.

Police have arrest a local man in connection with two Lincoln burglaries.

A garage was broken into on October 20 along Rochester Drive, and a bike was stolen.

Another attempted garage break in on Sycamore Crescent was reported to police too.

Officer attended the incident and after carrying out some inquires and searches, managed to arrest an 18-year-old Lincoln man.

He has been questioned by officers and released on police bail, pending further enquires until November 25.

Meanwhile, police are reminding people who spot any strange activity around garages to report it immediately via the non-emergency number.

Garage owners are also advised to get better locks and alarms fitted to avoid break ins.

They are also advising residents with garages to consider fitting extra locks and alarms.
