Woman robbed with ‘hand gun’ on Tritton Road

Street robbery: A man believed to carry a hand gun robbed a Lincoln woman on Tritton Road.

A woman was robbed by a man believed to have been holding a small hand gun in the evening of January 12 on Tritton Road.

The robbery took place near the Citroen garage, and the 27-year-old victim described the offender as a male in his twenties, of slim build and medium height.

Police have established the scene of the crime and a scene guard remains in place whilst initial enquiries continue.

The offender’s face was covered by a black and white scarf and he wore a dark coloured hoody with the hood up.

He asked the victim to hand over her bag and whilst he did not make any threats, the victim believed that the offender may have been holding a small black hand gun.

It has not yet been established if this was a real weapon but the victim believed it may have been a replica.

The robber headed with the victim’s bag, which has not yet been recovered, towards the housing estates opposite the garage.

Police are appealing for any information in relation to the black, leather and suede satchel style bag.

Anyone with information about the incident or the offender is urged to get in touch with Lincolnshire Police via the 101 number.
