Man assaulted in Boultham Park by gang

Gang assault: Young man sustained injuries to his abdomen after he was assaulted, possibly with a knife, in Boultham Park.

A young man from Lincoln sustained injuries to his abdomen after he was assaulted, possibly with a knife, in Boultham Park on March 26.

Police are appealing for information following the assault which happened at around 3.45pm.

A 19-year-old man from Lincoln was in Boultham Park when he was approached by a group of four people.

He was assaulted, it’s believed using a pointed weapon, possibly a knife, and sustained injuries to his abdomen. These injuries were not serious and did not require hospital treatment.

Following the assault the group left Boultham Park and went onto Rookery Lane, and headed towards Westwick Drive and Moorland.

One of the group was wearing a white top and black tracksuit bottoms.

One was wearing a grey top with black bottoms. He was on a red and white bike. Another of the group was on a silver Rampage mountain bike.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in area of Boultham Park on Monday 26th March, or who saw anyone meeting the description of the suspects nearby is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 302 of March 26, 2012.
