So far, local officers have handed out more than 200 Immobilise tags to members of the public to fit to their cycles.

These enable officers to scan stolen bikes when they are recovered to see who they belong to. Six Immobilise scanners are now in use in and around Lincoln.

Lincoln PCSOs will also be raising awareness of bike thefts among those visiting the cinema this weekend.

Please urge residents to report all suspicious activity around bikes in the city to officer via the 101 non-emergency number.
