Lincoln tweeters meet for social conference

Tweet meet: Lincoln Twitter fans have a conference to attend, all about their preferred networking site.

An annual networking event for Twitter users in Lincoln is returning next month.

LincsTweetMeet is a conference based around the social networking website Twitter and features three short presentations.

Speaking will be Trefor Davies on 4G mobile connectivity and its impact on social media usage, The Lincolnite‘s Daniel Ionescu about the importance of mobile apps, and Jonathan Fitzgerald on how the public sector can make better use of social media.

Organised by local businesses Epix Media, Lava, Laser Red and Ruddocks, the event will be held at The Showroom on June 14.

Liam O’Leary of Laser Red said: “We set up LincsTweetMeet to bring people, who connect online through social media, together in the real world and to help people interested in social media find out more about how best to use it in a business setting.

“LincsTweetMeet 3 will, like our previous events, cover a wide range of topics and give people a chance to meet theironline friends, followers and connections in real life.

“After previous LincsTweetMeets, we took the time to talk to the people who came along and found out what they wanted to hear about next.

“We hope that by focusing on their feedback that this event will be equally as successful.

Tickets to the event cost £10, which includes food. To book a place at the conference, visit the LincsTweetMeet website.
