Guard injured in theft suspect chase at Morrisons

Supermarket chase: Two arrested after security guard hit by car and carried on the bonnet at Morrisons in Lincoln.

Two were arrested after a security guard was inured while chasing a theft suspect at Morrisons supermarket in Lincoln.

This happened on Saturday, July 7, at around 7.35pm, when a man was chased by the security guard to the supermarket’s car park.

The man then got into a black car which crashed into the security guard, carrying him on the bonnet for a short distance before driving away.

The guard sustained an injury to his ankle.

A 25 year-old local man and a 30 year-old local woman were arrested a short time later on suspicion of theft and dangerous driving.

PC Steve Parker said he would like to speak to anyone who was in the car park at the time of the incident and who witnessed the events.
