The Old Palace in uphill Lincoln has become one of just two Lincolnshire hotels to make it in a luxury international hotel guide.
Condè Nast Johansens guide and website only lists the best luxury, boutique and county house hotels, spas, resorts, venues and inns over 65 countries.
The Old Palace in the Cathedral Quarter was originally home for Lincoln bishops, and features 32 bedrooms in the main building and converted church.
