Imps name caretaker during search for new manager

Caretaker announced: Imps head of youth Grant Brown has been put in caretaker charge of the first team until a successor to David Holdsworth is appointed.

The Lincoln City Football Club head of youth Grant Brown has been put in caretaker charge of the first team until a successor to David Holdsworth is appointed.

Holdsworth left his job on Sunday by mutual consent after poor results from the Imps. Several names are being put forward by fans and pundits in the search for a new manager.

This will be Brown’s third time in caretaker role. The former Imps’ skipper has taken over first team duties for two games in October 2007 and four games in October 2011.

The next two Imps games are at Sincil Bank on Saturday against Barrow, followed by a local derby against Mansfield Town on Tuesday evening.
