Local roofing firm lands multi-million supermarket contract

Big contract: A local roofing company will be working on a large supermarket project in London, worth £3 million.

A Lincoln roofing company bagged a £3 million contract for work at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium development at Northumberland Park in London.

KGM is a division of Lindum Group, and the work will involve installing roofing and cladding on a new Sainsbury’s supermarket.

The 12,000 square metre supermarket is just one part of a large £400 million development underway in Tottenham.

It will be the largest of its kind in London, with a sales area of 6,700 square metres, and more space for commercial and educational activities.

KGM will have a Project Management team on the site, plus the roofing and cladding teams who will help install a Kalzip standing seam roof, Fatra single ply, Green Sedum blanket roof and Kingspan composite wall cladding.

Mick Papworth, Managing Director of KGM, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this major contract which has contributed greatly to the £4.4 Million of orders we received in January, breaking all previous sales records already this year.”

KGM will start the work in March, and the store is due to open in November.
