Snow forecast to return in Lincolnshire

Snow is back: The Met Office issued an amber alert for snow for Tuesday, as heavy snowfall is expected to return to Lincolnshire starting Monday evening, through to Tuesday.

Forecasters say the amount of snow will be variable, but where showers become aligned there is the potential for 10-15 cm of snow to accumulate within 6 hours, particularly above 100 metres, with drifting in the strong westerly winds.

In Lincoln, temperatures are expected to reach 3°C on Monday evening, with a cold start of 0°C on Tuesday morning, going up to 4°C later in the day.
