Lincoln man charged after city burglary

Arrests made: A Lincoln man was arrested and charged shortly after a handbag was stolen from a property in the city.

A local man has been charged in connection with a burglary in uphill Lincoln.

Alistair Andrew Harris (44), from Monks Road, Lincoln, was charged in relation to a burglary on Burton Road on March 28.

A handbag has been stolen from a house.

Harris was remanded in custody, and appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Saturday March 30, though the case was adjourned.

The next hearing for Harris will be on Thursday, April 4.

Another Lincoln man aged 25 was arrested in connection with the offence, but he was released on police bail pending further enquiries until August 25.
