Life of a Lincoln cyclist: Part 2

Blind cycling: A look into the world of cycling in the second of a three-part series featuring local people.

Jordan Stebbings takes a look into the world of cycling in a three-part series featuring local people.

He studied BA (Hons) Contemporary Lens Media at the University of Lincoln and recently got into cycling himself. When he needed to a do a final video project, he set to work finding interesting cyclists in Lincolnshire to talk to for a short film series.

This week, he introduces Alan Tibble, a cyclist with two conditions that led to losing his sight. However, he cycles as part of the Lincoln Wheelers club in tandem with colleague Robert.

Jordan said: “I met Alan at a Lincoln Wheelers Time Trial Event in Bassingham, thought what he was doing was incredible and decided to get in contact with him to see if we could make a short film about him, and he was very keen to be involved. We met for a second time in a pub in Saxilby where I bought him a pint and that’s when the process started.”
