Fatal collision: A 75 year-old man from Lancashire has died following a collision involving a Lincoln driver on the A1 at Colsterworth in south Lincolnshire.

A 75 year-old man from Lancashire has died following a collision involving a Lincoln driver on the A1 at Colsterworth in south Lincolnshire.

Emergency services were called to the incident shortly after 5pm on Friday June, 21, following a collision between a Honda Civic and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The driver of the Civic, a 75 year-old man from Oldham, Lancashire, was taken to Peterborough Hospital, where he died later that evening.

The driver of the Corsa is a 30 year-old Lincoln man, who suffered minor injuries, Lincolnshire Police said in a statement.

A child passenger from the Corsa was checked over in hospital but is not thought to be seriously injured.

The road was reopened around midnight.
