Police offer free property marking kits to south Lincoln residents

Make your valuables traceable: Police is offering a limited number of SmartWater property marking packs to residents in the south of Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police is offering a limited number of SmartWater property marking packs to residents in the south of Lincoln.

The packs will be available to residents in the Brant Road, Hykeham Road and Moorland areas of the city.

Smartwater signs will also be put up in these residential areas to warn thieves that property in houses may be marked.

SmartWater is a forensic coding system which can be used to mark most property and valuable items. The liquid is applied to inconspicuous areas of your items.

Each kit contains a unique forensic solution, visible under UV light only, and makes valuables forensically traceable back to the owner’s address.

Any residents who would like a SmartWater pack can call in at Boultham Police Office to collect one.

Residents can also call PCSOs Flack on 07939 996773 or PC Garside on 07939 312667 to arrange collection.
