Highlights: Lincoln Frequency Festival 2013

Digital festival: This year’s Lincoln Frequency Festival provided audiences with plenty of quirky sights and performances for free.

This year’s Frequency Festival brought a variety of immersive digital art to venues across Lincoln, captivating residents and visitors alike.

The festival, which ran between October 17 and 26, is a celebration of international arts, culture and technology, and over 40 artists displayed their work in the city.

This year’s theme was “revolution”, so artists looked at ways in which digital technology has changed the way that we interact with the world around us.

Ideas included large dome projections, intuitive theatre productions, Google Street View art and interesting light projections on various remnants of Lincoln’s past.

The festival is organised by the University of Lincoln, Lincoln BIG, Visit Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire One Venues (LOV) and Threshold Studios.
