Six firms bid for County Council £10m contract

Big deal ahead: Six companies have been shortlisted for a multi-million Lincolnshire County Council property contract.

Six companies have been shortlisted for a multi-million Lincolnshire County Council property contract.

The council is tendering for a company to take over its services in facilities management, energy and environmental management, estates management, management of Travellers’ sites, property records and catering.

All in all, the contract is worth between £6-10 million per year, and will run initially for five years, but could be extended for up to 10 based on performance.

The bidders selected from the interested parties so far are:

  • Babcock Support Services Limited
  • Cofely Workplace Ltd
  • EC Harris LLP
  • Interserve (Facilities Management) Ltd
  • NPS Property Consultants Limited
  • VINCI Mouchel

Pete Moore, Executive Director for Resources & Community Safety, said: “We’ve carefully assessed the initial bids and we’re confident that we’ve chosen companies to go through to the next stage that can best meet our needs.

“These companies will now produce more detailed bids for us to consider at the final evaluation.”

The final bids will be submitted in May, and the final decision expected in September 2014.

The company chosen will begin the contract in April 2015.
