Lincoln Santa Fun Run raises record £81k

Santa Fun Run: Fundraisers in Lincoln who took part in the Santa Fun Run have managed to surpass the target, donating over £80k for charity.

Fundraisers who took part in the Lincoln 2013 Danwood Santa Fun Run and Walk managed to smash their target, donating a total of £81,096 to local charities.

After breaking the previous year’s record by £17,934, Santa joined organisers as they presented the cheque to chosen charities on Castle Hill.

The money raised from this year’s event went to the Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation (Lincoln), Candles, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Samaritans (Lincoln), St Barnabas Hospice Lincolnshire, and other Rotary charities.

Organisers and sponsors said they wish to thank every person that has been involved in the fundraising event so far.
