Continued appeal: A man arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a 10-year-old girl in Lincoln has been released on bail.

A man arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a 10-year-old girl in Lincoln has been released on bail.

Police arrested a 36-year-old on Sunday after the incident in the Sincil Bank area of Lincoln.

Since he has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

As previously reported, police were called to a house in the Sincil Bank area at around 1.30pm on May 11.

The girl living there ran to her home and told her father that a man grabbed her and attempted to drag her off her bike.

She escaped his grip, dropped the bike and ran home and gave her father a description of the man. The young girl was not injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Sincil Bank around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious to call 101 quoting incident number 183 of May 11.
