Sexual assault: Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man on Broadway in Lincoln.

Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man on Broadway in Lincoln.

The young girl was on a scooter on Broadway at around 8am on the morning of Tuesday, July 1, when she was approached by a man who appeared to be drunk.

He blocked her path before grabbing her shoulder and touching her on the chest area.

The man is described as white, aged around late 30s to early 40s, around 6ft tall, of medium build and balding on top with shaved to stubbly greying hair on the back and sides.

He was wearing camouflage trousers with a dark hooded top and Doc Martin-style boots with a Union Jack design on the toe cap. He was also carrying a beer can.

Police believe motorists and people would have been present in the area at the time and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or seen a man matching the description.
