Oak Furniture Land to open store in Lincoln

Opening date set: An Oak Furniture Land store will be opening in Lincoln in August.

Oak Furniture Land will open its first Lincoln store in August, in the second half of the former Comet unit off Tritton Road.

The store will open on August 23 and create seven new jobs. It will join five other stores in the Midlands.

The 17,000 sq foot superstore will feature the latest sofa ranges and quality oak and mango furniture.

To celebrate the official opening of the new store, Oak Furniture Land will commission a special cake sculpture which will be donated to a local cause.

There will also be Bank Holiday in-store offers and a champagne reception.

Steve Knight, Oak Furniture Land’s Regional Manager said: “The Lincoln store is a major investment and plays a significant role in our on-going store opening programme across the UK, which will see us opening a new store each month for the next three years.”

The new Lincoln branch moves into a unit which was split in two by constructors Lindum Group after Comet closed in 2012.

As previously reported, the first half of the store will house HomeSense, which will open on August 28.
