Scooter display returns to Lincoln Brayford Pool

Scoot along: A popular scooter event will make its return to the city this weekend, with plenty to see and enjoy.

On Saturday July 12, scooter enthusiasts from across the country will be heading to Lincoln for the highlight of the scootering year.

Scoot to the Waterfront will see the Brayford pool area of the city filled with hundreds of eye-catching vehicles, from classic Vespas to Lambrettas and younger models.

Meanwhile, there will be lots of scooter-related memorabilia and collectables available from stalls along the Brayford.

For entertainment, The Underdogs will be making an appearance from 12pm-1pm, followed by Blistered, performing between 2pm-3pm.

Lincoln Knight Scooter Club teamed-up with Lincoln BIG to produce what promises to be a fantastic day for scooter-fans and families of all ages explained Events Co-ordinator Dave Walker.

He said: “Last year we welcomed 300 vehicles and the date actually clashed with a couple of other events, so this year we could attract even more riders and visitors, especially if the weather is good.

“Owners will be parking-up their scooters as soon as they arrive and people will be able to walk around and get a closer look at them.

“The day will also feature a “custom show”. Scooterists who take extra pride in their wheels, will have the chance to win a string of trophies.”

Lincoln BIG Events and Promotions Organiser Rachel Hanson added: “We are delighted to announce the return of Scoot to the Waterfront, which is always very popular and which promises to be even livelier this time around.”
