Video: Lincoln does the Ice Bucket Challenge – Part 2

More nominees: More people around Lincoln are coming up with quirky ways to do the Ice Bucket Challenge.

More Lincoln residents have been braving icy waters in order to raise money for charity this week.

From Lincoln MP Karl McCartney to one of The Lincolnite reporters, individuals, top business figures and organisations have been getting involved.

The challenge spreading through social media aims to raise money mainly for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND), with some people also donating to Macmillan.

The idea, which involves a person being nominated to pour a bucket of icy water over their head within 24 hours or donate to charity (then nominating three more people), stems from MND sufferer Anthony Senerchia from Pelham, New York.

The challenge has spread the UK rapidly, with a host of celebrities also taking part in the event.

Many people have come up with quirky ways to take part in the challenge, but now even Lincoln business owners are showing their generosity by taking part and challenging others to follow suit.
