The Lincoln Castle grounds are preparing for the return of the most scrumptious festival on the events calendar on Saturday, October 25.
The Lincolnshire Sausage Festival last year saw 32,000 sausages sold and enjoyed throughout the day and organisers the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia and Select Lincolnshire are hoping this year’s will be even bigger.
Entry to the festival is free and the castle grounds will be open from 10am to 4pm.

Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “This year’s festival will again have plenty to get the tastebuds tingling, and more than just our famous sausages to tempt you.
“We’ll have a wide-range of stalls with some of the very best of the county’s produce, including Redhill Farm Free Range Pork, Cote Hill Cheese and Mountain’s Boston Sausage.
“And besides the great food, there will be live music and entertainment throughout the day from The Europa Clowns, Matto and Polo, and the Cosmic Sausages.
“We also have children’s cookery demonstrations in the Redhill Farm Free Range Pork marquee, which have been specially designed to appeal to youngsters and, most importantly, to make cooking fun.
“There really is something for all the family – don’t miss out!”
