Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a man ripped the wing mirror off a car in an incident of road rage on the A46 near Lincoln.
The victim was driving north along the A46 at around 7pm on Sunday, March 15, when a light coloured or white Audi saloon came up behind.
The Audi was reportedly being driven erratically and trying to overtake the victim. Eventually the offender did manage to overtake but then pulled up sharply just after the Skellinghtorpe roundabout causing the victim to stop.
It was reported that the Audi driver then got out of his car and began shouting and screaming whilst banging on the window of the victim’s car.
Police say the victim manoeuvred and tried to drive off, at which point the Audi driver ripped off the wing mirror of the car he had stopped.
The offender is described as a white male, aged 30 to 40 with mousy brown short hair. He wore spectacles and was of medium or athletic build.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information about it is asked to call the 101 non-emergency number, quoting incident number 325 of March 15. The investigating officer is PC Mary Johns.
Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
