Business and energy minister Matthew Hancock visits Lincoln on election tour

Business plans: Conservative minister Matthew Hancock stopped off in Lincoln to outline his party’s business and energy proposals.

Matthew Hancock, Minister of State for Business, Enterprise and Energy, visited The Lincolnite as part of his whistle-stop tour of the county on April 22.

The minister, who was elected as MP for West Suffolk in May 2010, discussed the Conservative Party’s plans for small businesses and improving the skills base in Lincoln.

He also clarified his party’s position on onshore wind farms and renewable energy, arguing that local residents should have their views taken into consideration more for these kind of developments.
