Overnight Lincoln outbuilding fire believed to be arson

Extensive damage: A Lincoln outbuilding fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

A blaze which caused extensive damage to a brick-built outbuilding at a Lincoln property is believed to have been deliberate.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews from Lincoln South and North Hykeham attended the fire on Moorland Crescent in Lincoln at around 12.25am on April 10.

Damage was caused to 30% of the structure and the roof of the building, while 80% of the contents of the shed were also damaged.

Among items damaged in the blaze was a petrol lawnmower, garden tools and bicycles.

The blaze was extinguished with a hosereel, and two breathing apparatus’ were used.

No injuries in connection to the fire were reported.

Lincolnshire Police say that the cause of the fire is currently being investigated, but it is believed to have been started deliberately.
